Mr. Don Jarvis
Don Jarvis is married to Anne Dyson Jarvis of Columbia, SC. Don has two daughters, six grandchildren and one great grandson. Don grew up in Charleston, WV, relocated to Chattanooga, TN and worked in the banking industry for 21 years. Don moved with Anne to Columbia, SC in 1981 and was employed in computer hardware/software sales for another 20 years.
I accepted Christ into my life on 12/20/81 after attending Shandon Baptist Church where Anne grew up. I had no interest in church or God for the previous 20 years – I thought my life was in order. When confronted with the claims of Christ, I yielded to Him and my life has not been the same since.
The Lord led Anne and me to Harvest Baptist Church in 1993 when we became members. Pastor Dulaney invited me to join the staff as Education Minister on 12/26/2002.
Mrs. Dottie Mazur
Mrs. Dottie Mazur has been faithfully serving as secretary at Harvest for over 30 years. Over the years, Dottie has filled many needs including secretary, treasurer, and nursery director. She and her husband, Jim Mazur, have been married for 32 years. On January 12, 1984, Dottie trusted Christ as her personal savior.
"I was lost and undone without God's only Son until I was in my early 40's. The only reason that I came to Harvest was to see my son Scott get baptized. Jim and I did not really want to go, but I did not want to disappoint my son. Through this we started attending HBC and I accepted Jesus as my Savior in January of 1984. This was the most importnat day of my life. I'm so glad that Jesus Christ led me to Harvest. Gayle Autry led me to the Lord in the nursery at Harvest - my life has never been the same."
